I think that Max would have to be the toughest out every body in the book. She is the leader and the one who mainly looks after the rest of the flock and takes care of them. Max is not just phisically tough its the mental toughness that she has that sepporates her from every body else. For instence like when she got her head splitting head ache but she didn't want to show it to the rest of the flock because she didn't want them to worry about her and forget what they were doing.
